When I reimagined the ultrasound of my heart as a soul singer, I had no reason to think I’d develop a-fib and an enlarged atrial valve a year later. My heart would need to re-record this song as fusion jazz to keep up with my wacky heart rhythm nowadays.

I think everyone should adopt a Humanifesto — their understanding of the origins of our existence and the nature of our minds. I wonder how many people try to understand either?
